Smaart Phyto Sewage Treatment & Water Reuse Platform (STP) is our state-of-the-art sewage treatment and recycling technology. Smaart Phyto STP can treat up to 1 million liters/day of sewage discharge, which can be used for irrigation, flushing, or cleaning external areas once treated. Using our proprietary, bio-based treatment media optimizes the footprint, operating cost, and capital cost of sewage treatment, resulting in a 40% reduction over MBBR and SBR sewage treatment technologies.
Smaart Phyto STP uses bacteria and plants to remove organic matter and biological waste from raw sewage, resulting in lower operating costs, energy use, and carbon emissions than conventional sewage treatment methods. Additionally, the system is designed with a small footprint for a minimum 10-year operating time, resulting in lower capital costs.
Smaart Phyto STP responds well to large changes in volumes and uneven flows. Systems are sized from 3000 – 1,000,000 liters/day, and can handle up to 300% more than the designed load for 3 hours at a time.
